Dr. Jules Crawford is a 1987 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing in Dalton since that time.  He grew up in Alabama on a working farm.  He knew from an early age he would like to be a veterinarian.  Dr. Crawford enjoys the every day practice environment and just being with people and their pets.  He is married and has four children that attend Christian Heritage School. The Crawfords have five dogs and one cat.  He is also an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church.  Outside interests include spending time with his family, sporting events, and hunting. 

 

Dr. Chris Stearns is a 1985 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.  He joined DAC in August 2004. He has enjoyed practicing here in Dalton for over 20 years.  As a boy, he spent his summers on his grandparents farm in South Georgia and this helped develop his desire to be a veterinarian.  He enjoys all aspects of a small animal practice with a special interest in diagnostics and opthamology.  The Stearns have one dog and one cat.  Dr. Stearns is an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, and he and his wife Kathy are active supporters of the Dalton community.   

 

Dr. Marcus Moore is a 1988 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinarian Medicine.  Before coming to Dalton, he worked as a mixed animal practitioner for seven years.  Dr. Moore's shows an affinity for soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.  Dr. Moore is married to Susan Moore and they have twin sons.  The Moores have four cats.  Outside interests are woodworking, black smithing and hunting.

 
 

Dr. Jimmy Emerson is a 2002 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.  He joined DAC in October of 2005.  He was previously associated with a mixed animal practice in Alabama.  Growing up in Hamilton, AL, he always wanted to become a veterinarian.  Dr. Emerson enjoys all areas of veterinary medicine, with his focus on spending time with the clients and their pets as well as soft tissue surgery.   Dr. Emerson has two cats. 

 
 

Dr. Phillip Thompson is a 2008 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, and joined DAC in June of 2008. Growing up in Nashville, TN, he has known he wanted to be a veterinarian his whole life. He enjoys all aspects of a small animal practice, especially meeting new people and their pets, and has special interest in physical therapy and pet nutrition. Dr. Thompson shares his home with one cat. Outside interests include fishing, golfing, and college sports.

 

Dr. Teresa Cothern is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She is married to a veterinarian and they have two children. Dr. Cothern enjoys all aspects of pet healthcare and focuses on prevention of illness and disease. Her hobbies include horseback riding, reading and most importantly spending time with her family. The Cotherns have two dogs and one cat. 

 

Dr. Maria Delaup is a 2006 graduate of Louisiana State University, School of Veterinary Medicine and joined DAC in January of 2009.   She is married to Rick Delaup. Dr. Delaup enjoys getting to know clients and their pets. She feels preventive healthcare is the basis for a long and healthy life. Her hobbies include trail riding, hiking with her dogs and running. The Delaups have three dogs (Weenie, Chili and Pickles) and two horses (Jessie and Ember). 


 

Dr. Gina Davis is a 1995 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She is married to Jeff Davis and they have two children. The Davis family are members of First Baptist Church of Dalton. Surgery is a true love of  Dr. Davis, as well as internal medicine.  Her hobbies include hiking, traveling and spending time with her family.
